PageMaker
PageMaker एक लोकप्रिय Desktop Publishing (DTP) software है जिसका उपयोग पेज लेआउट डिजाइन करने के लिए किया जाता है। इसकी मदद से Brochures, Magazines, Books, Wedding Cards, Invitation Cards, Posters, Banners, और Professional Page Designs बड़ी आसानी से बनाए जा सकते हैं। PageMaker का मुख्य काम layout design और editing है।
PageMaker का इतिहास
PageMaker को 1985 में Aldus Corporation ने विकसित किया था। बाद में 1994 में इस सॉफ्टवेयर को Adobe ने खरीद लिया और यह Adobe PageMaker के नाम से जाना जाने लगा।
PageMaker के मुख्य टूल्स और फीचर्स
Toolbox
PageMaker के सभी Designing Tools एक Toolbox में होते हैं। PageMaker में बनाई गई फाइल को Publication कहा जाता है।
Important Tools:
- Pointer Tool (F9):
- Objects को move या resize करने के लिए।
- Rotate Tool (Shift + F2):
- Images या Tables को घुमाने (rotate) के लिए।
- Oblique Line Tool (Shift + F3):
- Lines और Table बनाने के लिए सबसे अधिक उपयोग किया जाने वाला टूल।
- Rectangle Tool (Shift + F4):
- Rectangle या Square shape बनाने के लिए।
- Circle Tool (Shift + F5):
- गोलाकार (Circle) बनाने के लिए।
- Polygon Tool (Shift + F6):
- बहुभुज (Polygon) shapes बनाने के लिए।
- Hand Tool (Shift + F7):
- Page को ऊपर-नीचे move करने के लिए।
- Text Tool (Shift + Alt + F1):
- PageMaker पर Text लिखने के लिए।
- Crop Tool (Shift + Alt + F2):
- Photos को crop करने के लिए।
- Constrained Line Tool (Shift + Alt + F3):
- बिल्कुल सीधी Line बनाने के लिए।
- Rectangle Frame Tool (Shift + F4):
- Frame-style rectangle या square बनाने के लिए।
- Ellipse Frame Tool (Shift + Alt + F5):
- Circle या oval frame shapes के लिए।
- Polygon Frame Tool (Shift + Alt + F6):
- Polygon frame बनाने के लिए।
- Zoom Tool (Shift + Alt + 7):
- Page को zoom in/out करने के लिए।
Standard Tool Bar
Menu Bar के नीचे मौजूद toolbar में New, Open, Save, Print, Find जैसे महत्वपूर्ण commands Icons की तरह उपलब्ध होते हैं।
Ruler Guides
Page की लंबाई-चौड़ाई मापने और proper alignment बनाने के लिए Ruler Guides का उपयोग किया जाता है। ये Page के top और left side में दिखाई देते हैं।
Control Palette
Control Palette में Text और Object formatting की settings होती हैं:
- Font
- Font Size
- Bold / Italic
- Underline
- Line Spacing
- Alignment
यह publication को edit करने के समय बहुत उपयोगी होता है।
Page Border
Page की Border सेट करने के लिए उपयोग किया जाने वाला feature। अगर Text Border से बाहर हो जाए, तो वह Print में नहीं आता — इसलिए Border बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है।
Margin Guides
Page पर Text टाइप करने की सुरक्षित सीमा तय करने के लिए Margin Guides का उपयोग किया जाता है।
ये Blue रंग की पतली रेखा के रूप में दिखाई देती हैं।
